Still Yet Forward
twenty year anniversary show
01.25 - 03. 02. 2019
ampersand international arts is thrilled to announce Still Yet Forward, a twenty year anniversary show, opening January 25th, 2019. Honoring over twenty artists, the exhibition is a celebration of some of the amazing local artists that have come and gone through the space over the past twenty years.
Founded in 1999 by Bruno Mauro, under the direction of his daughter Theodora Mauro since 2014, ampersand international arts has been home to more than one hundred exhibitions over the last two decades. Although a lot has changed and developed since the gallery first opened in San Francisco's Dogpatch, the mission of the gallery has never faltered, continuously providing a space committed to supporting collaborations with artists, curators, and art enthusiasts (local and international, emerging and mid-career).
Still Yet Forward is a celebration of the gallery's history, present and future. The exhibition features new artworks in a multitude of mediums by Michael Campbell, Randy Colosky, Christian Dicky Davies, Amos Goldbaum, Lori Gordon, Hughen/Starkweather, Philippe Jestin, Mary Anne Kluth, Kirk Maxson, Alan Miknis, Abner Nolan, Brian Perrin, Christine Ponelle, Sofie Ramos, Matthew Rogers, James Sansing, Sarah A. Smith, Charlene Tan, Andy Vogt, Leigh Wells, Maryam Yousif, & Arngunnur Yr, along with statements and images from past curators and exhibitions.
Please join us as we fete the unique milestone, Still Yet Forward, ampersand international arts' twenty year anniversary show, January 25th through March 2nd, 2019.
